0800 and Freephone telephone numbers are a unique way for customers to contact you, as the customer/caller pays nothing for the call. You, the owner of the number, pay to receive calls.
The table below outlines the costs to the owner of the freephone number, associated with purchasing and using the different types of 0800/Freephone numbers:
*Landline minutes ‐ this is when we are delivering calls from your 0800/0808 number to geographic numbers (numbers starting 01 or 02), or UK wide numbers (numbers starting 03).
**When callers are calling from a mobile, the call cost will be 2ppm greater than the values shown above.
NUMBER PRICING BAND - All our 0800 and Freephone numbers are sorted into pricing bands, ranging from Standard to Platinum Plus. The more expensive the band the more memorable the number.
SETUP FEE - This is the initial fee you pay to set the number up. It's a one-off fee.
MONTHLY FEE - This is the fee you pay on a monthly basis for each number that's live. The fee rises the higher the pricing band, and it entitles you to a number of bundled minutes (to a UK landline).
BUNDLED LANDLINE MINUTES - These are the number of UK landline minutes (see * above) included each month with the number. The higher your monthly service fee, the more free minutes you'll get:
***Bundled minutes will be used up at double the rate when the caller is calling from a mobile.
COST OF EXCESS LANDLINE MINUTES - This is the cost in pence per minute (ppm) to receive calls on your freephone number, once your allocation of bundled minutes is used up. This varies, depending on where you are sending the calls, but to a UK landline costs 2.5ppm.(or 4.5ppm if the caller is calling from a mobile).
LOW USAGE OPTION - If you'd rather just pay-as-you-go, without the bundled minutes, choose our low usage option for just £1.00 per month and then pay just 3.9ppm for calls sent to a UK landline. This option is not available on Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus numbers.
Costs to route your 0800 number to a mobile phone
To route your 0800 number to a UK mobile phone number you will have to pay an activation fee of £9.95 plus £4.95 per month. Once this is paid your 0800 number will be made live. You will then be charged a pence-per-minute rate based on your mobile network operator.
Your mobile routing call charges bill is generated monthly and if it is over £1.00, charged to your credit card or direct debit within 14 days of the billing date (1st of every calendar month). If your monthly call charges bill is less than £1.00 it is carried over to the next months bill.
You can change your terminating number at any time, free of charge in your number management panel.
See the table below for 0800 mobile routing rates.
This table shows how much it will cost per minute to route your 0800 number to a UK mobile phone, based on what network you use.
For example, if you wish to route your 0800 number to a UK T Mobile mobile number, it would cost you:
* For low-usage option, add 1.4ppm to the prices in this table.
**add 2pmm to the rate at which you are charged for calls to your 0800 or 0808 when dialled from a mobile.
Routing Your Freephone Number to an International Number
You can have your 0800/0808 Freephone Number routed through to an International number (landline or mobile). Calls will still be completely free for your callers, provided they are calling from a UK landline telephone.
There is a one-off charge of £9.95 to set up international routing to your account, plus a monthly charge of £2.50 per number, or alternatively you can activate the feature account-wide for all the numbers in your account for a setup fee of £49.95 and £9.95 per month.
You will also have to pay a higher pence per minute charge to receive calls on your international number. To determine this ppm charge please contact us to check your desired international routing.
